Master of architecture and historical heritage (marph)


Duration: 1 year (60 ECTS)

The 2007-08 edition of the Official Master in Architecture and Historical Heritage (MARPH) adapted to the European Higher Education Area, organised by the University of Seville from the University Institute of Architecture and Building Sciences (IUACC) and the School of Architecture (ETSA), with the Culture Department of Andalusia’s Autonomous Government from the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage (IAPH).

Collaboration: Patronage of the Alhambra and the Generalife.

It’s attached to the Official Postgraduate program of Architecture at the University of Seville (University Institute of Architecture and Building Sciences - High Technical School of Architecture).

Classrooms Seville headquarters: classrooms in IAPH and ETSA. Grenada Headquarters: boardroom at Palace of Charles V. Patronage of the Alhambra and Generalife.

Profiles related to the Master:

Architect, Engineer, Bachelor of Fine Arts, BA in History of Art, BA in Anthropology, BA in History, Bachelor of Arts and BA in Geography.

Bridge-Section

Within the MARPH, there is a ‘Bridge-Section’ to reinforce Section 8, addressed to students who have accessed these official studies from other validated subjects of the Doctor’s degree Program ‘Theory and Practice of Architectural and Urban Reformation’ teaching sections.

It’s taught by the MARPH manager and co-manager. Its location is shown at the MARPH timetable and the contents refer to general methodological issues and previous orientation to heritage projects both in Research and Professional Options.

Complementary Section

Within the MARPH, there is also and additional complementary Section for providing work and professional orientation, given by the IAPH, Department of Communication.
